Next Step Toward Data Standards for HEAL

Collective Board Meeting Summary: The Collective Board discussed challenges associated with standardizing CDE implementation across HEAL, and how best practices guidelines would only apply for studies still in the planning phase. For the many HEAL studies already underway, the challenge is harmonization across studies using the same CDEs. In both cases–standardizing implementation and harmonizing after data collection, members stressed the considerable difficulty and provided examples of complicating factors.
