[Fresh FAIR Webinar] Planning for Data Deposition: Best Practices and Key Resources for Researchers

This webinar focused on how research teams can set themselves up for success by planning for data sharing early and throughout their study lifecycle. Building on the March webinar, which emphasized how to assemble and submit a complete data package, this session provided proactive strategies to embed data sharing and packaging into study workflows early, reducing submission burdens and setting teams up for long-term success. 

Participants heard from HEAL Stewards on why proactive planning matters, lessons learned from supporting investigators, and specific actions to take at each stage of the research lifecycle. A guest presentation from Dr. Keith Marsolo of the NIH Pragmatic Clinical Trials Collaboratory overviewed how research teams plan for data deposition, including practical strategies, common challenges and solutions, and best practices. The session also highlighted key resources, such as the NIH Pragmatic Trials Collaboratory Living Notebook, ICPSR Social Science Research Guide, and HEAL Stewards’ planning tools.
