About this event

Collective Board Meeting Summary: The Collective Board found HEAL workspaces to be useful and to accommodate most relevant analytic use cases. FedRAMP moderate security was considered very important. Members reported using cloud-based workspaces like Google and Azure to work with public datasets but internal, HIPAA-compliant infrastructure for working with sensitive data. One institute has their own secure research enclave. Tools being used include Jupyter, Posit (formerly RStudio), SAS, and Stata. There is desire for SAS in the researcher community, but it was acknowledged that licensing issues make offering SAS in HEAL workspaces not possible at this time. Several members saw a need for shared workspaces for real-time collaboration. To demonstrate the value to potential users, one member suggested having sample Jupyter notebooks for several use cases available on the Platform
