[HEAL Office Hours for Investigators] From Data Dictionaries to Repository Submission

This interactive session focused on creating data dictionaries and preparing data submissions. This office hours session helped attendees better understand requirements to complete HEAL PI Checklist tasks. Participants also viewed newly developed data dictionary and data submission guidance documents and gained clarity on variable-level metadata (VLMD) expectations, how VLMD supports FAIR data, and the steps in preparing data for deposition.

The session included focused discussion breakout rooms: Breakout Room 1 addressed data dictionaries and data submissions, and Breakout Room 2 focused on HEAL Data Platform registration and analytic workspace use. By the end of the session, participants knew where to get help, how to begin generating or enhancing VLMD, and what to expect when submitting data to their selected repository.
