The HEAL Fresh FAIR webinar on September 17, 2026 at 1:00 PM ET will explore strategies for how to
share a variety of different data assets. Research data is not always tabular. It can include imaging files, genomic or sequencing data, qualitative data, audio and video recordings, code, and other specialized research
outputs. This session will explore preparing and sharing these digital assets to support
HEAL data sharing expectations, FAIR principles, and future discovery and reuse.
The session will highlight non-tabular data examples and the
metadata and documentation that make them understandable and reusable. Short presentations will introduce practical digital asset considerations for repository submission,
including format compatibility, metadata requirements, documentation needs, and available tools and resources supporting data sharing. The Stewards will also highlight current NIH funding opportunities to facilitate the use of multimodal data such as the CFDE's
PRIMED-AI program.
Participants will leave understanding sharable research outputs beyond tabular datasets, how metadata supports diverse data reuse, and steps to prepare these assets for the
HEAL Data Ecosystem.
The session will conclude with an interactive Q&A and discussion.
